It’s helpful to have the basics laid out, but I wonder if we should be spending more time discussing the actual merits of first-past-the-post. While it provides stability, is that really worth the trade-off when so many voters feel their ballots are effectively wasted? It seems like a system that prioritizes efficiency over true representation.
